Exciting book mail

Today I collected a parcel from the royal mail and had no idea what It was, which made me even more excited!

When I opened the parcel it turned out to be a 1903 edition of 'Just so stories' by Rudyard Kipling that I ordered last week! The reason behind buying this book is a friend of mines dad loves this book and read us a bedtime story (I'm 18 I promise) and it was from this book, 'How the camel got his hump' and if I'm honest it was a great story, I'm surprised I've never heard or seen this book before. It is really exciting getting this and I am really pumped to read the rest of these stories. There are twelve stories in this book;

  1. How the Whale Got His Throat
  2. How the Camel Got His Hump
  3. How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin
  4. How the Leopard Got His Spots
  5. The Elephant's Child/How the Elephant got his Trunk
  6. The Sing-Song of Old Man Kangaroo
  7. The Beginning of the Armadillos
  8. How the First Letter Was Written
  9. How the Alphabet Was Made
  10. The Crab That Played with the Sea
  11. The Cat That Walked by Himself
  12. The Butterfly That Stamped

It's a lovely little book and it sounds silly but I feel like it's quite sentimental to me because Evan aka mum (my friends dad) loves it so much and read it to us, SHOUT OUT TO EVAN AKA MUMMY MITCHELL.

Love, Beth.x
