STEELHEART: review #12

Last week I finished reading steelheart!

"Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills.

Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them.

And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father. For years, like the Reckoners, David's been studying, and planning - and he has something they need. Not an object, but an experience."

This is the first book I have read by Brandon Sanderson and I will be reading more. Steelheart was such a jam packed book full of plot twists and emotions and everything. If you like books about superheroes or super human people then this is the book for you, steelheart is where there are super humans referred to as 'epics' they use their power for evil things and not for the greater good. The main character David is a character that you instantly like because his personality is what draws him to you as well as his persistence to hunt down steelheart and revenge him due to his dad. I loved this book a lot as all the characters were so interesting and I had never read a book like this. The writing in this book is beautifully written and draws you in from the first chapter. I recommend this book highly and will be reading more by Brandon Sanderson as well as continuing this amazing series!
